Beauty and Serinity of the Ocean
Whenever I feel the need for peaceful surroundings, or a relaxing place,
I wander to the beach to listen to the waves cascading along the shoreline
in all their grace. Even though the waves are thundering
up and down the coast with all the fury they can muster,
I feel at peace just watching the sea water slap
against the sand pebbles, tossing them about in a fluster.
Maybe it's because of the turmoil I am in when
I seek the serenity of those sounds, for it helps to calm me,
Or that I just love the swishing, swashing of the
ocean waves and the breezes that are so balmy.
I only know that the waves bring me peaceful joy,
an awesome feeling for the force which they have upon the beach,
As they wash up driftwood and debris, settling the
sand back down for us to enjoy within our reach.
I watch the seagulls soaring in the air, the sandpipers
running to get away from the water as it splashes and churns,
The uncovered sand crabs scuttle to hide themselves
once more, for fear of being eaten by the terns.
I see the pelicans with their beaks full of fish
gathered from the ever pulsating watery waves
And I often wonder what is going on in the vast
array of mysterious underwater caves.
As I look out at the horizon I see some floating ships,
like castles on the water so icy blue,
And all the fishing boats bouncing along,
hoping for a full net of fish or two,
I marvel at the dolphins jumping in the fishing boats quake
looking for an enjoyable dish,
For I am reminded that the ocean is full
of different species of animals and fish.
And then I hear "Thar she blows!"
as someone begins to jump and shout,
For there on the surface of the frosty ocean
I can see a great whale's waterspout,
Gushing into the breezy air and floating back into
the water so cold and so dark,
Which reminds me of the geyser "Old Faithful" in Yellowstone Park.
I spy a sea otter tapping his chest with a rock,
trying to open the clam, oyster or abalone that
he captured for a delicious feed, And then frolicking
once more amongst the many patches of sea weed.
I watch the people sunning themselves, some strolling
on the beach looking for that precious sand dollar or conch shell,
To put to their ears and hear the ocean which
will remind them of the beach stories to tell.
I can't help notice the children flying kites
while running in and out of the beating waves, wanting more,
And the dedicated surfers trying to find the biggest
wave so they can ride it back to the shore.
But my favorite time is when everyone has gone home
and I am alone and just as the sun begins to set anew.
I see the beautiful colors of the rainbow in the sky
and the now calm ocean receding so it can have it's rest too.
The serenity and peace of the ocean
is a wondrous thing to behold,
Much more precious than the gems so coveted
and covered in silver and gold.
So when you need time out to get away from your burdens
and are in need of the tranquility,

Won't you come to the ocean and sit and watch it with me?

Life is like an Ocean
Life is like an Ocean covered by waves,
some bring joy others destruction,
some bring peace others commotion,
And many men are like fish
except they have less control
over the direction in which they swim
Why? Did I hear you ask?
Cause many men allow themselves
to be tossed from side to side
by every wave of philosophy, trend,
Idea, belief, doctrine
perhaps man needs to take a good look
at what these waves have to offer
and not take them at their face value.
Those who rise above the waves
are those who look to see which wave
would work for them and that which would
work against them

Life is like an ocean full of dreams
some come true and others don’t
And every man is a source of dreams
that fill the ocean of life
just as the rain is the source of water to
the ocean
Every man is free to dream
but only a few see his dreams come true
Why? Did I hear you ask?
Cause it takes nothing to dream
but it costs a man everything
to make he’s dream come true,
it takes faith; the evidence of things
unseen
and a man risks being called a fool
while in pursuit of making he’s dream a
reality,
no one it seems believes a dream that
eventually comes true
because the dream is always bigger than
he that dreams it
and remember your dream is no dream
except its bigger than everything you stand
for.

Life is like an Ocean
full of good and evil as you pass through
you are bound to be hurt by the sharks of life
and maybe you’ll meet a friendly dolphin or two
the former is more likely than the latter
Why? Did I hear you say?
Cause Love is defined by hate,
good by evil and I suppose vice versa.
How do you know what is right if nothing
is wrong?
How do you learn not to take for granted
the things that matter to you the most if
you’ve never been hurt?

That’s why life is like an Ocean,
some times its at peace other times
it's raging like a storm
But life is only what you make it to be.
Take the bad with a pinch of salt,
don’t beat yourself too hard for mistakes
you’ve made
there is always another chance
so make sure you take it
you just might be able to make
what’s wrong better if not right.
Life is like an ocean
sometimes troubled sometimes calm
whatever state yours might be in
wait and be still cause the rough
would eventually be followed by the
smooth,and weeping followed by joy.

  Oceans of Love
As i stroll along the beach,
enjoying the sights, sounds, and scent
of the shoreline, my mind is filled
with memories of you.
Birds hovering noiselessly overhead
speak to me of the quiet times
we share, when words are not necessary.
The sound of the gentle lapping
at the water's edge reminds me
of your tender words of love,
whispered in my ear.
The wind on my face is as soothing
As the waves come down crashing,
down onto the shore, I lovingly recall
the intensity of our passion.
When we're apart, I need only stroll
along the beach
to feel your presence, and your love.

Ocean of Dreams
At night I sleep in my ocean of dreams,
I bask in the warm comfort of serenity,
As the waves crash around me,
The damp sand beneath my feet,
The hot sun shining on my face,>
The salty air swirling around me
I stroll to the water's edge,
The waves embrace me in their arms,
Serenity vanishes,
I possess too many ambitions,
I awake before they engulf me,
Too soon indeed,
But it is okay,
Every night it is the same,
I return to my ocean of dreams.

I AM THE SEA
I am older than time
Though my face doesn't give me away.
I am the root of life through the centuries,
A cold tomb to millions.
You can feel me in the rhythm of your birth.
I salt-scent the air and the ropes and the skin,
Mirror all earth's weather with ease,
And let the moon ride my back, without charge,
We are partners!

Summer blue - Winter, foam white,
A thin silver ribbon, for autumn,
And the rain-washed green for chill spring days.
I possess a seasonal wardrobe,
And seductively float my emerald hair on dark
rocks for special occasions.
Poets call me angry, cite my roar, salute my
music and my mystery.
And it's all true - and more,
For spray-bleached beaches run out to meet me,
Neon worlds swim deep inside me,
And they always have.

And to prove that none of the virtues escape me,
I carve secret scribblings on beautiful shells,
And how I sculpture rocks, silk or daggered to
the touch.
Can you imagine life without me?
I am the valley of tomorrow
The city of the future

My Heart Is On the Ocean
old man walking on the old foot path
old man walking with his first son
oh son my heart is on the ocean
and my eyes are burning from the salt sea

the sun is steady as the sun it will rise
morning the wind is in the willow
oh son the wind is in the willow
and the morning is steady as the sunrise

my heart is in the ocean
my heart is in the ocean
and my eyes are burning from the salt sea

the ship is sailing as the ships they do sail
over the blue and misty water
oh son your ship is in the harbor
and your bag is tuggin at your shoulder

the seagull is flying as seagulls do fly
crossing over the ocean
oh son you're crossing over the ocean
and the seagull is flying as the bird flies

the sun is steady as the sun it will rise
farewell my first son
oh son my heart is on the ocean
and my eyes are burning from the salt sea
  Ocean of My Heart
I capture her tears
In the ocean of my heart.
I stand alone
On the shore,
Near my heart.
I look out to the Sun Shine
And wonder where I must go.
Where must I be,
If not on the shore?
For if I leave
Her tears I would have,
And no more
All life will allow,
The pain and the hurt
From her.
I would accept all
Of the bitterness life has to give,
If only to see her eyes
And capture her tears
In the ocean of my Heart.

Hearing the sounds of the ocean, the bees and the smells of nature. I can look at all this wonder now and rejoice in it,
and see it as it is.

In ocean waves there's melody
There's harmony within the clash of elements,
And a harmonious tuneful whisper
Streams through the rippling rushes.
There's unperturbable order everywhere,
Full consonance in nature,
And only our illusory freedom
Is out of tune with her.
Whence, how did this dischord arise?
And why, amidst the universal chorus,
Do human souls not sing as does the sea,
Why does the sentient reed sigh?
And from the earth unto the highest stars
Unanswered to this very day
A voice lamenting in the wilderness,
The soul protests despairingly?

Echo of the waves
It appears in the sky.
The moon gleam is diving
into the sea. It lights up the cold night.
All is silent, no noise in this night
only the kiss of the wind
and the echo of the waves

  swimming in my ocean
I'm swimming in my ocean
drowning in my tears.
Swimming in my ocean
re-living all my fears.

Can someone throw-
a life vest,
and send it out my way.
For now I'd like
to take a rest.
If only for a day!

I'm swimming in my ocean
drowning in my tears.
Can you take me in your arms,
and take away my fears?

I'm swimming in my ocean.
The ocean I call life.
Someone threw a life-line

I'm swimming in my ocean,
I'm swimming in my ocean
loving you instead!
Swimming In My Ocean
Donna Ody

If there's a better way to spend an afternoon than walking along a sandy beach with the waves lapping over your feet,

Ocean of Pain
I’m drowning in high waters
Unable to catch my breath
Sinking slowing further
To my eternal rest

Something that cannot be stopped
Something that can’t be explained
It’s something that comes down hard
Falling like a everlasting rain

Blue waters turning black
Enter the waves of despair
A sunken mind full of tears
Blocking my pleads for air

Flashbacks drenching my body
A body filled with scars
Flashbacks always haunting me
Tearing me apart

I cannot move nor think clearly anymore
It’s like my body is frozen in ice
I’m paralyzed from head to toe
My nervous system sliced.

I never want to recall that untruthful day
My heartbeat shattered into a million pieces
Picking up the pieces and putting them back together
Is practically impossible given the weather

I want this all to go away
I want this all to disappear
I want this all to vanish instantly
And never come back here

  Drowning -
Gasping for a breath of air, swallowing all the pride,
Swirling in a misty sea with no one by my side.

Shipwrecked and alone in an ocean of rage and sorrow,
Fear that I might not see the ones I love tomorrow.

For I have fallen down again, gone to cold and wet from warm,
Fighting Mother Nature’s wrath, caught in the eye of the storm.

Harsh winds and gloomy skies, tears confused with rain,
I’m losing sight of all I have, I’m drowning in the pain.

Looking for a way out as the swells consume me,
Deep inside, my heart throbs, praying for God to move me.

As though an answer to my prayers, He sends a gentle hand,
Pulls me from the now calm waters, lays me on dry land.

Waking up on moist ground, not knowing where to go,
Finding nothing too familiar, I’m in a place that I don’t know.

How do I cope with what I have now? Start something new,
On an island in the sea, I should have known my trials weren’t through.

So now I sit still looking, lost in the middle of nowhere,
But knowing that I didn’t drown, because He sent someone who cared.
-Dedicated to Mike, Thanks for all you’ve done for me.

I'am washed clean by gentle breezes, rain, ocean spray--I hold in my heart many moments of laughter andloving touch, the incredible coziness of wood and light. Such safety to snuggle in--so much support for simply being. Virginia

Under Water Lift Me Up Into The Arctic Sky, Over The Ocean A Thousand Miles Wide.
Drop Me Down Into The Frozen Sea, The Sorrowful Angel Will Follow Me.
Under The Ice The Colors Bleed To One, An Amalgamation Of
The Moon,The Stars And The Sun.

Wrapped In Unfeeling Waves I Lose My Place, The Water Becomes
A Hallucination Of My Own True Face.
I See Myself As I Once Had Been, Before Time And Space Began.
The Spark Of A Distant Dark Star, Spawned From A Sigh Of The Devine Creator.
I Let The Struggle Leave My Hands, On The Treshold Of
Eternal Fall I Wish To Stand.

To Feel Again As I Have Before, That Comfort Of Every Other
Distand Dark Star.
There Is No Breath Left For Me To Give, The Purpose Is Done,
There Is No Life Left To Live Within The Arctic Sea.
The Sorrowful Angel Has Followed Me, And Let It Be As It Meant To Be.
I Fall Asleep On The Ocean's Bed And Become One WithThe Sea Of The Dead.
For Others Drift Around Me In The Glacial Tide, In The Ocean A Thousand Miles Wide.
Angels Under Water...

A beautiful, solitary sea
of a summer end
there are no persons.
The silence of the sea
dominates the landscape
while the sun
is fading into the sea.

Ocean Meditation
Created By Leonie Faye

Lock the doors and take the phone of the hook. - I want you to sit or lay down somewhere comfortable. Take deep slow cleansing breaths in and out. By cleansing I mean as you inhale, visualise you are placing positive energy into your body, feel it entering inside of you and sweeping over your whole body. As you are exhaling out, feel the negative energy leaving your body. Please note: Negative energy is emotions like fear, pain, anger and illness Positive energy is feelings like warm tingling sensations. Feelings of love, happiness, peacefulness and blissfulness

Do this breathe work until you feel really calm and relaxed.

Feel the tension slowly lifting off your body, floating into your aura and out into the universe. Feel your body become heavy as it relaxes. Going into a deeper relaxed state, feel your mind slowing down. Feel it become clear. Breathe in and out and relax. Remove all the stress that is locked within your body.

Tense your feet and then release. Breathe silently and softly in and out - Tense your pelvic floor and relax. Tense your shoulders hold for a moment and then totally relax. Breathe in and out slowly relaxing your whole body. Breathe in and out. Clear your mind. Relax your body. Release any negative thoughts or feelings trapped within you. - Breathe in and out and sink deeper into relaxation. Breathe in and out slowly and deeply, all the time relaxing more and more - do not allow any noises to disturb your relaxation, make them a part of your meditation.

Allow stray thoughts to wander in and out of your mind, do not hold onto any thoughts, let them flow off into the universe* (10 sec pause)

Count yourself down into total relaxation - breathe slowly and silently - ten - nine -.eight - seven - six- five -four - .three - two -one -

let yourself sink deeper and deeper -- you are totally relaxed - you are ready for meditation - you are ready for inner healing. Place a shield of white, gold, blue and silver healing energy around your body - this energy will block out any negative influence - you are safe and protected.

I want you to visualise that you are on a beach. The sand is warm under your feet. It is pure white like snow. The waves are gently crashing against the shore. There is a sense of peace and harmony. The sun is shining high up in the sky. Feel the life force energy that the sand and the water and the waves sends out. Feel it entering into your base chakra filling you with a sense of groundedness and wholeness. I am connected to the earth. I am connected to the sun, to the sky, to the winds I am one with all nature. Place your hands onto the floor and feel that connection. Breathe in and out and relax.

Visualise yourself entering into the water. It is cool and calm. Allow yourself to float on water. It has a slow rhythmic magic that soothes your being as you gently bob up and down. Feel the energy enter into your sacral chakra, filling it up with that loving soothing energy, calming your body and calming your soul. I am at peace in my world. All is calm, I feel no tension or fear. Float and relax. As you are floating on your back I want you to look up into the sky and notice the sun shining bright, high up in the heavens full of power, warmth and vitality. The sun helps to promote new life. It feeds the earth with life giving energy. Feel this energy entering into your solar chakra, feel it filling you up with courage, strength and promoting your own will to achieve growth.

I am full of strength, will and I have great courage. Off to the distance is a group of dolphins. They are swimming and playing together. Watch as they dive into the water and then surface and jump high into the air. Feel the hypnotic effect it has on you as you watch them play. Feel their life force energy connect to your heart chakra filling you with joy and love.

I allow myself to feel joy and I allow love into my life. Float on the ocean and fill up your body with the life force energy that comes from the water. It cleanses and cleans out all that is dead and regenerates your mind, body and soul.

Open your throat chakra up to the natural music that is created from the wind and the waves as they crash against the shore. Hear the birds singing and squawking as they fly and glide with the wind. Allow your voice to sing with the ocean, sing with sky, sing with the birds.

Visualise a group of large whales swimming near the dolphins. These large creatures are gentle giants who hold the key to our existence, to our past, to our present and to our future. Feel their wisdom and their knowledge that they hold the key to understanding our true purpose for existing. Feel their life force energy connect to your third eye chakra, filling you with memories of past and visions of the future. I forgive and heal my past and I allow myself to see into the future without fear. Breathe in and out and relax.

Breathing deeply, visualise yourself melding and becoming one with the water. Taking a deep breath in, allow yourself to dive deep under the water. Allow yourself to swim under the ocean with all the beautiful coloured fish and the plant life that lives and flourishes with the water’s energy. Allow yourself to become a part of this piece of Mother nature. Allow the water to cleanse you and give you nourishment. Become one with the water. Breathe in and out and relax. Bring yourself back to the surface and take a deep breath out as you float to the top.

Slowly swim back to the shore and as you walk upon the sand, bid farewell to the ocean. As you are bringing yourself back to a state of awareness, I want you to visualise all the vibrant colours of the rainbow glowing and emanating from your body. You are filled with all the healing colours of the earth. You have a shield that is full of life force energy that helps you to become spiritual, loving and shield you from the negativity of life.

Bringing yourself back to consciousness, feel yourself awakening. Wiggle your toes gently, then wiggle your hands, move your shoulders and come up slowly. Visualise a powerful white light surrounding you and protecting you from the outside world.

Now bring yourself back and gently open your eyes.
